Blog Post: A New Way to Serve Those Who Served VeteransFare.com is Now Live

At ËP!K Bites, our mission has always been more than juspfrites. We’re about building community, fostering civility, and honoring those who’ve given so much for the freedoms we enjoy. Today, we’re proud to announce the next step in that mission: www.VeteransFare.com is officially live!

Though still in its early stages, the site marks a major milestone in a movement we hold close to our hearts — the Veterans Fare program.

What is Veterans Fare?

Veterans Fare is our way of giving back to those who’ve served. Any veteran who stops by our stand can request the “Veterans Fare” and receive one of our fresh, handmade Liège waffles for free. No questions asked. No paperwork. Just genuine gratitude, served warm.

We know that not every hero comes home to a hero’s welcome, and sometimes even small gestures of kindness can make a big difference. That’s why we’ve gone a step further:

• Pay-What-You-Can: Veterans can contribute whatever they’re able—whether it’s the full price, a little less, or nothing at all.

• Pay It Forward: Patrons can purchase waffles for veterans in advance. It’s our community’s way of saying “thank you” one waffle at a time.

• Veterans Helping Veterans: We’re expanding the program to offer veterans an opportunity to learn how to run their own ËP!K Bites Liège Waffle business. This initiative is being built to empower veterans with real tools, training, and support—giving them a new mission and a path to purpose-driven entrepreneurship.

Why It Matters

As a veteran-owned, family-run operation out of a humble RV in Altoga, Texas, we’ve worked with everyone from the leaders of the free world to the quiet heroes who now call our neighborhoods home. We believe in showing up for people—not just with words, but with actions.

Veterans Fare is about respect. It’s about community. It’s about remembering that a simple act of kindness, a warm waffle, and a friendly “bonjour” can go a long way in making someone feel seen, appreciated, and welcome.
